About the Author
Oswald Chambers (1874-1917) is best known for the classic devotional My Utmost for His Highest. Born in Scotland, Chambers had a teaching and preaching ministry that took him as far as the United States and Japan. He died at age forty-three while serving as chaplain to Allied troops in Egypt during World War I.

Chamber's "My Utmost for His Highest" devotional has been a companion since the early days of my journey with the Lord. I picked up "Confirmed To His Image ..." for some inspirational reading during a vacation a few months ago. It wasn't long before I was stopped in my tracks. Each section challenged my assumptions, and showed me my blind spots in ways that humbled me into an even deeper relationship with Jesus. This book is not a quick read. You will want to slow down to pause and consider often - if not to repent and pray for redirection.I intend to begin this "little" volume again with my prayer journal beside me, to treat this as this year's devotional. The lessons therein will be woven through much of what I share with fellow disciples in many ways for years to come.
I rated this book with 5 stars because it challenged me from start to finish. It reminded me to stay on course, to expect suffering, to let suffering do its works in my life, Most of all, Oswald Chambers spurs me on to let Jesus love me and love me and love me. I then bought this book for a friend after reading her so many excerpts we both laughed and decided she needed her own copy. This book reads like a series of sermons that are mostly unconnected. Tidbits to chew on all day. Highly recommended!
It is brilliant! Anything by Oswald Chambers is amazing. Even though he wrote do long ago, his concepts are fresh and relevant for today. Please read daily "My Utmost for His Highest." It is a daily devotional.
