I bought this book specifically to learn Angular and it's great for that, but the Ionic stuff is equally valuable.This stuff changes fast (the previous version of this book, with "Ionic 2" in the title, is less than a half year old). It's a bummer that Amazon doesn't allow people who bought the previous ebook to get this update for free, but the author has been great about posting updates on his blog and the book's website. There is even an appendix PDF available with all the changes for those who have the previous edition. All that makes me feel better about buying this book.
Like one of the other reviewers, I bought this book to learn Angular. Ionic was icing on the cake. Griffith writes in a clear and concise manner on even the most technical of issues. Yes, the technology changes rapidly and, yes, it would be nice if Amazon (or the publisher) gave a price break when a critical update is released within 6 months, but you gotta start somewhere. Glad I started here. A valuable resource.
A hastily written guide. The book has been out for 3 weeks and is already massively outdated. Note the "Revised Edition" on the cover; it is meaningless. Even the basic framework set-up instructions require stack-overflow searches to actually work. Written for Ionic 3.4.0 and Angular2. Worth 1/4 of the price. Watch youtube, instead.
